Nucleus of the Spinal Tract of the Trigeminal Nerve

Pain and temperature fibers runing caudally toward the spinal cord form the spinal tract of the trigeminal nerve. Tract fibers synapse in the associated nucleus of the spinal tract of the trigeminal nerve. The illustration shows that the tract forms a half-moon profile. The nucleus is in the concavity of the tract.
