interthalamic adhesion (asterisk), which obliterates the center of the
third ventricle (3). Ventral to the thalamus, the
hypothalamus (H) is evident. The

The internal capsule (ic) connects the diencephalon to the telencephalon. Some telencephalic structures are labeled: lateral ventricle (lat), corpus callosum (cc), and fornix (for).
