Nervous - Image 9
Cerebellar hypoplasia in a neonatal kitten (brain on right) is caused by intrauterine infection with feline panleukopenia virus. The cerebellum (arrow) is reduced in size. A normal cat brain is on the left for comparison. In cattle a similar condition occurs due to intrauterine infection with BVD (Bovine viral diarrhea) virus.
