Anomalous extra horns (arrows) in a Jacob breed sheep. This is an example of an anomaly that was perpetuated by artificial selection for several hundred years. Jacob sheep are piebald (spotted) and have 2 to 6 horns but four are most common. The Jacob name comes from the biblical patriarch Jacob who was a skilled animal breeder (Genesis 30).
