Abdominal cryptorchid testes (1) near the pelvic inlet of a colt. In contrast with the previous dog case, the epididymis (2) is closely attached to the testis (1). Dorsally the mesorchium (3) is attached to the testis. A deferent duct (horizontal arrow) leads to the genital fold (asterisk) which lies between the rectum (4) and the bladder (5). Diagonal arrows point to the vaginal rings which are clearly too small for descent of the testicles.
