Purkinje and Granule Cell Neurons

At the center of the image, a large Purkinje neuron (PC; stained by Golgi silver impregnation) is viewed on its broad surface. The insert at the lower right shows Purkinje cells viewed on edge at lower magnification. Inserts at the left show magnified granule cells (Golgi stain). Granule cells have small round cell bodies and few processes.
