Longitudinal Zones (Vermis, Paravermis, & Hemisphere)

Each of the cerebellar nuclei receives input from cerebellar cortex (Purkinje cells) overlaying the nucleus. Thus, three longitudinal zones can be defined, from medial to lateral: vermis (V), paravermis (P), and hemisphere (H). (F= fastigeal nucleus; I = interpositus nucleus; & D = dentate nucleus)
