Cerebellar Output Connections

Cerebellar output originates from cerebellar nuclei (except that some flocculonodular Purkinje cells project directly to vestibular nuclei). Through the rostral cerebellar peduncle, cerebellar output targets motor control neurons and modifies their output to achieve movement coordination. Via the caudal cerebellar peduncle, the fastigeal nucleus projects to the hindbrain for muscle tone regulation
