Pyramidal Neurons (Nissl and Golgi Stains)

A solitary pyramidal cell is shown in a Golgi silver precipitation preparation. The insert shows a Nissl stain, revealing a large pyramidal cell, small granular cells, and glial cell nuclei. The Nissl method stains only cell bodies of neurons.
