Vestibular Apparatus

The vestibular apparatus consists of three semicircular ducts, each containing a crista ampullaris, plus a utricle and a saccule, each containing a macula. Below, the membranous labyrinth of the vestibular apparatus (in color) is shown within the osseous labyrinth of the inner ear.
