Cerebellar Granule Cells

Inthe foreground, two granule cells send their axons into the molecular layer where the axons bifurcate and run longitudinally in the folium as parallel fibers. Dendrites of granule cells synapse with mossy ending of afferent fibers in synaptic glomeruli (not shown). Cell bodies of Purkinje cells are colored orange.
