Brain Anatomy Introduction CLOSE
Dissected Equine Brain — Median View
Median view of an equine dissected half-brain (medial components of the rhinencephalon have been removed, as has the cerebellum). The tectum (tec) of the midbrain is dorsal to the mesencephalic aqueduct (large arrow). The midbrain tegmentum (teg) is ventral to the aqueduct. To return to the canine midbrain, click here.
