Musk Ox and Bison Skulls
The Musk Ox skull (left) belonged to a 275 kg (600 pound) male animal and the skull weighted 11.1 kg ( 24.3 pounds). The Bison skull, from a female bison (American buffalo), weighed half that of the Musk Ox skull but the live Bison weighed twice as much as the live Musk Ox.
