The top of the telencephalon has been removed to reveal lateral ventricles bilaterally. Notice that the floor of the lateral ventricle is formed by hippocampus (yellow), fimbria (green), and fornix (orange). Rostrally, the ventricle is bounded laterally by caudate nucleus (blue).
