The infraorbital n. (1) emerges from the infraorbital foramen with the infraorbital a. (2). The levator nasolabialis m. (3) has been removed to expose the nerve and vessel. Clearly the sensory nerve supply to the nose and lip, including vibrissae, is abundant.
The infraorbital n. is a continuation of the maxillary n. as the latter enters the infraorbital canal. Within the canal, the infraorbital nerve supplies cheek teeth.
