Lateral view of the orbit of a cat with periorbita removed. Identify extrinsic eye muscles: ventral oblique m. (1), ventral rectus m. (2), lateral rectus m. (3), dorsal rectus m. (4), and retractor bulbi m. (5). The sclera (6) and cornea (7) of the eyeball are evident. Also evident are: temporal fossa (8) and pterygoid muscle (9).
