Muscles of the lips and cheek. The orbicularis oris m. (not labeled) orbits within the walls of the upper and lower lips. The buccinator m. (1) is located within the walls of the lips and cheek. The caninus m. (2) is located within the upper lip. The levator nasolabialis m. (3) retracts the nose and upper lip. The orbicularis oculi m. (4) closes the palpebral fissure.
Also notice the facial vein (5), which receives a mandibular branch (6) and passes between mandibular lymph nodes (7).
