Pancreas, fresh tissue. The left lobe (1) of the pancreas is located in the deep layer of greater omentum (2) as it passes caudal to the stomach toward its attachment to the dorsal wall. The right lobe (3) of the pancreas is located in the mesoduodenum (4). The body (5) of the pancreas is where the two lobes come together. Identify: stomach (6), descending duodenum (7), ascending duodenum (8), transverse colon (9), and descending colon (10).
