Identify the iliocostalis thoracis (1) and the longissimus thoracis (2), cervicis (3), and capitis (4). The transversospinalis system (5) includes the reflected splenius m. (6) and the semispinalis capitis m., which is composed of the reflected biventer cervicis m. (7) and the complexus m. (8). Exposed are the ligamentum nuchae (9) and dorsal branches of spinal nerves (arrow), which innervate epaxial muscles.
