The fibularis longus m. (1) and its tendon are elevated by instruments. Two minor muscles are evident: fibularis brevis m. (2) and the tendon of the lateral digital extensor m. (3). Identify the cranial tibial m. (4), the long digital extensor m. with its origin from the femur (5). Caudal crural muscles are labeled: deep digital flexor m. (6), superficial digital flexor m. (7), and gastrocnemius m. (8).
