Feline Pelvic Nerve & Plexus
Lateral view of a left pelvic plexus of a cat (located on the lateral surface of parietal peritoneum within the pelvis). Preganglionic parasympathetic input to the plexus is from the pelvic nerve (which accompanies prostatic/vaginal vessels). Sympathetic (predominantly postganglionic) input arrives via the hypogastric nerve. Branches from the plexus are distributed to pelvic viscera. Pelvic ganglia are small, and not distinct in this image.
