Feline Lumbosacral Plexus
Ventral view of a feline lumbosacral plexus following removal of pelvic and abdominal viscera. The pelvic nerve arises form the sacral plexus, which is formed by ventral branches of sacral spinal nerves (S1, S2, S3). The sacral plexus are gives rise to the pudendal nerve and contributes axons to the sciatic nerve. The femoral and obturator nerves arise from ventral branches of lumbar spinal nerves. The obturator nerve is severed (yellow double arow).
